Cheshire is a county in the north west of England, bordered by Wales to the west, Staffordshire and Shropshire to the south, Derbyshire to the east and Merseyside and Greater Manchester to the north, these latter two formerly being part of Lancashire at the time when our ancestors lived here.
Our foray into this county was very brief with only one relative in the maternal WOOD family being born here in-between residency in other parts of Lancashire.
